The pub is a social meeting place and community centre, a place for people to come together and enjoy good conversation, fantastic food and a great pint.

“There were two couples sitting a table apart and they got to chatting. They’d lived three houses apart for the past 11 years, but they had never talked until they came and sat in the pub, had a pint and a meal. They had a great time. That defines what a pub is: it’s a place to meet,” says publican Matt MacNeil.
